A 33 year-old, Pasco County man died early this morning following a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Dunedin, Pinellas County. WTVT Fox 13 reports that just after midnight, Williams M. Schreiner, lost control of his 2004 Suzuki motorcycle, went over a grass median, hit a curb and crashed into a utility pole.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, speed appears to be a factor, and local media reports Schreiner was wearing a helmet. The accident remains under investigation.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation, a national group of motorcycle safety advocates, publishes safety materials for the consumer, riders and non-riders alike, and has published specific information regarding the safety benefits of helmet usage.
We, at the Law Office of James W. Dodson, P.A. are unfortunately all too familiar with the emotions involved in this type tragedy, specifically motorcycle accidents, and express our sincere condolences to the Scheiner Family.
