The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 21-year old Zephyrhills man, Quinton Shankle, was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV driven by a Vanessa Vincent, of Wesley Chapel, Sunday afternoon.

Local news media reports that the accident occurred at the intersection of Boyette Road and Overpass Road in Pasco County.  According to TBO.com, Mr. Shankle was pronounced dead at the scene while Vincent, who was listed as seriously injured, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.

This continues what was a deadly summer for Tampa Bay Area motorcyclists, as the number of motorcycle fatality accidents I have reported on continues to climb.
