A 2 year old child in Fort Myers is in stable condition after reportedly being abused by his step mother, Rosemary Kunz, on October 19^th. Today was the first time she was faced in a court with the other parent and father of the child, Shane Lewis. Lewis, who failed to protect the child in the event of the abusing, wants custody of the children. The couple also has another 1 year old child in the custody of the state. Lewis is trying to gain custody of the kids from the state upon further inspection from the Department of Children and Families, in which the kids are currently being held at. Kunz is being held on $250,000 bond.
